Kinetis EA series MCUs

Freescale recently launched a new kind of microcontroller offering, based on the ARM® Cortex®- M0+ core suitable for automotive and industrial applications where quality, reliability and longevity matters.

These MCUs come with the most complete enablement aimed to simplify development and reduce time-to-market.

Designed for harsh environments, Kinetis EA series MCUs have enhanced ESD/EMC performance (6kV HBM) operating from -40°C to 125°C. Kinetis EA series MCUs are AEC-Q100 qualified and feature a powerful 48MHz, 32-bit ARM Cortex-M0+ core, providing high performance and ultra-low power.

Freescale make it easy to get up and running. Low-cost evaluation board and reference design are available and come complete with low level drivers and application software. From the moment you unpack the evaluation hardware all you need is to plug in through USB to your computer and start running the code.

A development portal is also available to users with an integrated development environment, a low level driver, application software and peripherals and example code can be downloaded.
